(Imagine reggae music playing in the background) Hay Mon! I am Arlene Hylton, the Program Coordinator for the San Francisco Department of Human Services, Independent Living Skills Program. As you all know I am a youth advocate and I am committed to improving conditions for the youth in foster care.

In my current role I have the responsibility of planning and implementing the Independent Living Skills Program. I also serve as the Adult Supporter for the California Youth Connection’s (CYC) San Francisco Chapter. I love getting on the kids nerves, in my role as the “Mother for SF ILSP”. I am always saying, “It’s my job as a mother”, got it? What do I love? Let me see, warm sunny beach, a mansion with a view of the lake, oh that’s right back to the job. I love to read, I love talking, and boy do I love to talk. I enjoy traveling, cooking, but hate my own cooking, enjoy problem solving, and RED is my favorite color, and if you didn’t guess I AM JAMAICAN! Ya mon. That’s enough info on me, what you want more, well gimme me a call @ (415) 934-4202.
